Jesus is our common core
Our mission as a Christian school is to provide the best possible environment for developing the God given potential in all students. In order to achieve our mission we are dedicated to partnering with families to “―equip Christian families and students through a Christ-centered, Biblically directed program that pursues academic excellence and Christian character to impact the world for Christ”
Rincon Valley Christian School is a ministry of Santa Rosa Bible Church and firmly believes in the great doctrines of historic Christianity as they are revealed in the Bible. Consistent with the teaching of the Bible we believe that God created male and female to fulfill their God given gender roles in His world. We believe that the Bible teaches that marriage is between one man and one woman and that the biological gender of a person is not changeable by preference or individually perceived orientation. We believe that God has established marriage as a lifelong, exclusive relationship between one man and one woman and that all intimate sexual activity outside the marriage relationship, whether heterosexual, homosexual, or otherwise, is immoral and thereforesin (Gen. 2:24-25; Ex. 20:14, 17, 22:19; Lev. 18:22-23, 20:13, 15-16; Matt. 19:4-6, 9; Rom. 1:18-31; I Cor. 6:9-10, 15-20; ITim. 1:8-11; Jude 7). We believe that God created the human race male and female and that all conduct with the intent to adopt a gender other than one’s birth gender is immoral and therefore sin (Gen. 1:27; Deut. 22:5).”
A complete statement of faith appears in the church’s constitution and bylaws, but may be summarized as follows:
We believe that the Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God, inerrant in the original manuscripts and authoritative for daily living. There is one God eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, His sinless life, His substitutionary death for our sins, His bodily resurrection and His coming again. We believe that all men are sinners both by nature and practice, and apart from faith in Jesus Christ are subject to eternal separation from God. All are therefore in need of personal regeneration by faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. Those who have trusted Christ as their Savior are indwelt by the Holy Spirit and are enabled to live a godly life through submission to Him. We believe that those who have confessed Christ as Savior are eternally secure in Christ.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
